Happy Anniversary!

It's even hard for us to believe...Enhanced Skin Care Center is celebrating its 5-year Anniversary in February!

Despite the rough economy, ESCC continues to thrive. Thanks in large part to your referrals, our practice has steadily grown since we opened, five years ago! A lot has happened in the last few years in the skin care/health care industry as well as at ESCC...

The last year brought two new products that have proven to be a great asset to the cosmetic industry. Latisse, the first prescription product to help grow longer, thicker lashes, made a big splash in February 2009.  Women have raved about the wonderful effect Latisse has had on their eyelashes. ESCC has not had one bit of negative feedback about this product since we began carrying it!

In June of 2009, Dysport made its debut in the United States. This true competitor to Botox® has been used in Europe for many years. So far the results are comparable to the effects of Botox® at a little lower price. For right now we have decided to offer both products to our patients.

Additional changes in the industry are “fractional” lasers that go deeper into the skin layer to help improve skin texture, sun damage and some acne scarring. While these procedures may have some “downtime” associated with them, the results are more dramatic than some other light-based treatments.

Many new anti-aging skin care products have hit the market containing some of the most effective combine antioxidants, peptides and growth factors. ESCC carries a complete selection of skin care products, and we are always happy to help you determine which product is best for you.

What's new in the last 5 years at ESCC?
Our biggest improvement is that we now accept most medical insurance plans. This has allowed us to treat many skin related issues at a savings to the patient. Dr. Kramar has been kept very busy effectively treating both adult and teenage acne, removing suspicious moles, and treating all sorts of skin, hair, and nail-related conditions. Some insurance plans even cover chemical peels for treatment of acne or pre-cancerous lesions!

ESCC now offers two new chemical peels – the Vi-Peel and New Rejuvenize Peel. These peels are stronger and go a little deeper than our other peels. They are best for moderate to severe skin conditions or for those who would like an increased intensity level peel.

We have also added new products such as TNS Essential Serum and a Hydrating Complex. TNS Essential Serum combines a unique mixture of ingredients to transform and regenerate the skin for a more youthful appearance. SkinMedica Hydrating Complex Serum is a hyaluronic acid-rich serum that replenishes skin’s moisture and provides instant and long-term hydration. We would love to discuss which of these products may be best for you!

A special event occurred on July 17th when our esthetician Lara welcomed a new baby boy, Avery, into her family!

Our goals for the future...
We would like to add a new skin resurfacing laser, such as the fractional, to our practice. Much research needs to be done in order to get the equipment that will be most effective at the most affordable price for our patients. We will keep you posted!
